Cooling water treatment chemicals prevent scaling, corrosion and algae formation in cooling towers. The range includes antiscalants, alkalinity reducers, corrosion inhibitors and a family of biocides and microbiocides.
Antiscalants and corrosion inhibitors keep hardness-forming ions in soluble form so the system can run at a higher cycle of concentration with minimum drain of water. Alkalinity reducers hold cooling tower pH between 7.0 and 9.0 without resorting to hazardous acids.
Microbiological growth interferes with cooling and causes fouling and corrosion. Our biocides and microbiocides control algae, bacteria and slime-forming organisms at low concentration, work across a wide pH range, remain effective at higher temperatures, and are non-corrosive to equipment. They also control sulphate-reducing bacteria.
